Story

I am running this half marathon for Maisie, Ben and Julie, to do something which Ben and Julie wished for at Maisie's funeral.

On 2nd September 2018, Maisie took her last breath. Maisie was 2 years old and despite being poorly, with the help of her wonderful Mummy and Daddy, she felt like she had experienced everything which life had to offer, her little world was huge to her, her experiences amazing. Being left behind, Ben and Julie told me that it was their job as Maisie's parents to continue to have the experiences that they knew she would never have. Now as our friends try to make a different life to before, I want to help them with these experiences.

So, as Maisie loved running (fast) and starting each run in the style of the Twirlywoos, I will be dressing in the brightest rainbow colours I can, starting the race in the style of Maisie to raise money for Supershoes, a small charity who gave their time and services to delight this little girl. Supershoes design and paint customised shoes for children with cancer, based on their favourite things and interests, their shoes made Maisie so happy, we would love to delight other children with this wonderful gift. This will be my experience for Maisie.

As we all know little children love to play jokes and tricks, so you can use your inner child to torment or delight me as you choose for every £10 donation you can nominate a track for me to listen to while I run! And if I make the target, I commit to shouting "danger" at every runner who overtakes me (most of them!)... ask Ben!

Please donate whatever you can, I would be so very grateful & if you can't afford to donate to this page, please consider donating blood to help save lives.

Thank you

Jenni
