Story
I will be attempting two quite lengthy triathlons to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer
The first triathlon is Challenge Wales, a half-ironman distance event taking place 11th June 2023. Here I will be attempting a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run. My triathlon experience is limited at best, so this should be fun...
Following this 'Warm up' event I will be taking on the big boy, Ironman Wales on 3rd September 2023.
This time, in what promises to be another fun day out, I will be attempting a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile marathon run.
As mentioned, my aim is to raise money for a truly fantastic charity in Young Lives vs Cancer.
In particular, I will be running in memory of Maisie Wood
In 2022 I ran my first marathon for Maisie having met Ben, Maisie’s Dad, and then Julie, Maisie's Mum. Maisie’s story is one of incredible bravery throughout her fight with cancer, but one that ended in the most cruel sadness.
